Castle Gardens is the star of Great British Christmas competition

The final results of the Garden Centre Association’s national Christmas Competition have been announced and Dorset-based Castle Gardens has been crowned winner of the Garden Centre Category for the sixth time.

Up against garden centres in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, judges were full of praise for Castle Gardens’ Christmas displays, which allow customers to rub shoulders with Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in the Great British Bake Off room, step inside a gingerbread house and enjoy room after room of lovingly themed twinkly lights, baubles and ornaments.

Garden Centre Association judge, Andy Campbell, explained;

“Castle Gardens has done an exceptional job at making the Christmas displays interesting, engaging, entertaining and fun for the whole family. I was particularly impressed that the displays draw people in from a wide ranging area to enjoy the magical experience, despite being in a rural market town.”

Louise Burks, managing director of The Gardens Group, explains;

“We’re delighted to have won the national competition for an incredible sixth time. The Christmas displays are a team effort across The Gardens Group and everyone gets involved to make sure they look their absolute best. It is a great way to end 2015 and we hope to make it seven times and counting next year.”
