Make space this Christmas in a shepherd’s hut hideaway
A retreat for dad, a playroom to stow all those new toys away or a guest bedroom for the extended family; when the house is fit to bursting with presents, wrapping paper and visitors, a traditional shepherd’s hut from Dorset-based Plankbridge Hutmakers can provide the gift of space that so many would wish for this Christmas.
The Classic Shepherd’s Hut is an incredibly versatile space, with its 12’ by 6’6” footprint already fulfilling a diverse range of needs across the UK and beyond, from hobby rooms and artists’ studios to home offices and even a library.
With time-honoured skills and precise craftsmanship combined with the Victorian heritage that Plankbridge has remained so true to since owners Richard Lee and Jane Dennison first began creating shepherd’s huts in 2000, each hut is lovingly constructed using the highest quality materials. Every hut is unique and as pioneers in their field the team embrace the challenge of innovative new concepts, combining the very best of the old and the new to create the perfect gift that will stand the test of time.
The Plankbridge Classic Shepherd’s Hut, complete with English oak windows and door, French oak floor and a Farrow & Ball painted interior, starts at £18,025 including VAT and measures 12', 14' or 16' long.
