From plot to plate, The Tickled Pig is growing

Following three years creating the finest locally-sourced and seasonal cuisine at its Michelin recommended restaurant, The Tickled Pig is set to unveil a brand new breed of delicatessen come café and kitchen in Wimborne Minster, Dorset, selling and serving its very own home-grown and home-reared produce. From Monday 1 June, the new-look Tickled Pig will be open seven days a week, offering a more relaxed dining experience throughout the day, as well as a place for food lovers to buy truly local and unique products to enjoy at home.

An enticing display of home-cured charcuterie over the rustic counter is perfectly complemented by an abundance of salads, herbs and vegetables, grown in its own kitchen garden, looking luscious and bold against the reclaimed shelving. If the first bite is with the eye then visitors are in for a feast, with the best of Dorset produce taking centre stage. Local cheeses and craft beer sit alongside The Tickled Pig’s brand new range of micro herbs, which are also placed on the tables of the café and restaurant so customers can garnish at will.

Whether stocking up for the weekend, sampling a few small plates before the theatre or popping in after work for a craft beer and a burger in the beautiful sun-drenched garden, visitors can count on the exceptional quality and flavour that has become synonymous with The Tickled Pig’s brand.

Jez Barfoot, MasterChef quarter-finalist and co-owner of The Tickled Pig, explains;

“Our philosophy has always been to source the very best local ingredients that each season has to offer, so we can share these wonderful flavours with our customers through everything we do. As we have expanded our kitchen garden and ventured into curing our own meat and growing micro herbs, we realised that The Tickled Pig needed a platform to sell this produce in a dynamic and informal environment. We really hope that our affordable options and relaxed atmosphere will allow more people to experience the finest food and drink that Dorset has to offer, whether they dine with us or take these beautiful ingredients home to enjoy.”

As of Monday 1 June, The Tickled Pig will be open from 8am – 11pm Monday to Saturday and 8am – 4pm on Sunday. For more information about The Tickled Pig visit www.thetickledpig.co.uk
