New framing studio sets the scene in Frome
Frome’s thriving arts and culture scene will welcome a new addition on Sunday 1 March. Town mayor, Peter Macfayden, will officially open Mount, a bespoke framing business offering specialist art services, high quality printing and graphic design.
Mount will mark the launch of its studio at the Silk Mill in Frome with an official ribbon cutting at 11am. Owners Simon Keyte and Jennifer Newbury will be sharing their passion for the presentation, conservation and protection of artwork with a programme of short talks, displays and demonstrations. Refreshments from Bruton’s At the Chapel will be served throughout the day.
Simon Keyte, master framer and co-founder, explains;
“We are so excited to be joining Frome’s vibrant arts and culture scene. With our comprehensive range of art services, we are looking forward to working closely with artists, designers and collectors in the area to provide the very best solutions for their needs.”
Mayor, Peter Macfayden adds;
“It’s great to see Frome attracting another creative business to work with and to support those already established – it’s clear that a ‘critical mass’ has been reached where the entire creative sector in Frome is becoming nationally and internationally recognised.”
