Oak Fair on the air in shepherd’s hut broadcast
Fans of countryside, conservation and all things woodland will be able to tune in to a live radio broadcast from the ever popular Stock Gaylard Oak Fair, celebrating its 10th year and taking place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 2014. Sherborne-based radio station, Abbey 104 FM, will host the live radio broadcast from within a Plankbridge shepherd’s hut from 10am – 5pm on the Saturday, direct from the heart of the Stock Gaylard estate near Sherborne, Dorset.
With exhibitor interviews, live display commentary and countryside conversations, Abbey 104 FM will be keeping Oak Fair goers up-to-date and getting them in the mood for a day of woodland wonders in the heart of the Dorset countryside.
Andrew Langmead, Oak Fair organiser explains:
“It’s very important to us that all of the activities that take place at the Oak Fair are in keeping with the rural theme and the ‘shepherd’s hut broadcast’ will be a great addition to the Saturday line-up. Plankbridge Hutmakers has been very generous in lending the Little Writer’s Hut, which has been on quite a journey already, starting at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2012, then Humble by Nature, a book signing in Bath and more locally, Sherborne-based Castle Gardens.”
A one-day family ticket, which includes two adults and up to two children (aged 5 - 16 years old) costs £20. Adult tickets cost £8.50 each and children’s tickets cost £3.50 each. Tickets are now available online www.bradsons.co.uk or can be purchased upon arrival.
Abbey 104 FM has a 12.5-mile frequency radius and is available worldwide online at abbey104.com.
