Rave brings the decaf that delivers, small on caffeine but big on flavour

As more and more coffee fans begin to dabble in decaf, Rave Coffee is calling for the UK’s keen beans to expect more from their low caffeine cups. Smashing the myth that decaf has to mean lower quality and insipid sipping, Rave’s range of naturally decaffeinated beans deliver bags of flavour without the buzz.

With so much of decaf’s bad reputation owing to the additional costs of the decaffeination process – meaning the best beans most often stay fully loaded – Rave has tackled the issue by increasing its purchasing from existing farms. This gives the roastery top drawer coffee to work with, while providing more guaranteed income for those farms and establishing a truly sustainable business model for all involved.

In the case of Rave’s Colombia El Carmen Sugarcane Decaf, the natural Sugarcane Process is used to remove over 95% of the caffeine and reduce the carbon footprint associated with other decaffeination processes, as the coffee is grown, processed, and decaffeinated at origin. Rave’s Swiss Water Decaf uses water and a caffeine deprived coffee extract (GCE), together with temperature control and osmosis, to remove 99.9% of the caffeine, so needs to get the experts involved, but it does boast a zero chemical approach and leaves all of the flavour intact.

As part of Rave’s commitment to be a better coffee experience for all, this carefully managed sourcing and processing means a fair price for the farmers and a great price for decaf drinkers, while delivering the character, aromas and complex flavours that are so often found wanting. Available by the bag or through Rave’s monthly subscription boxes, this is decaf done right.

Rave Coffee’s decaf is available to purchase from ravecoffee.co.uk, with the Colombia El Carmen Sugarcane Decaf No. 77 priced at £6.15 per 250g and the Swiss Water Decaf No 11 priced at £7.25 per 250g.
