Coffee and cocoa beans combine, as RAVE releases limited edition Easter Egg
Bringing together some of the world’s best beans, RAVE Coffee’s first ever Easter Egg will be an epic chocolate treat for those who take their coffee seriously.
Committed to delivering a better coffee experience for all, Cirencester-based RAVE has collaborated with artisan chocolatier, Coco Chemistry from Lacock in Wiltshire to create a coffee chocolate egg that does justice to the caffeinated beans as well as the cocoa. After many months of grinding, melting, eating and tweaking, the result is a caramelised white (blonde) chocolate with freshly ground Costa Rica Caraigres coffee.
Sharing the same fundamental commitment to both quality and sustainable sourcing, RAVE Coffee and Coco Chemistry experimented with ratios of milk, dark and blonde chocolate, as well as light and dark roasted single origin coffee beans from the world’s most respected growing regions, before they cracked it. The final mix contains 30.4% cocoa solids and 4% freshly ground coffee; ground super fine (below 15 microns) to deliver maximum flavour and a smooth texture.
With tasting notes of toffee, butter cream and a dash of salt, the RAVE Coffee Chocolate Easter Egg is big on flavour, but it’s kind to the planet too. RAVE continues to establish long-term partnerships to improve the sustainability of farming communities, while Coco Chemistry chocolate is made using traceable cocoa that is 100% sustainable. The Easter Egg comes in fully recyclable packaging, and 1% of all RAVE sales are donated to environmental causes through the roastery’s 1% for the Planet commitment, so this really is a ‘good egg’.
RAVE’s Coffee Chocolate Easter Egg (180g) will be available to purchase at ravecoffee.co.uk from Monday 13 March, priced at £24.95.
