On Sunday 1 March, artists, designers and collectors saw Frome town mayor, Peter Macfadyen, officially open Mount, a bespoke framing studio at the Silk Mill, offering specialist art services, high quality printing and graphic design.

With experience framing works ranging from Thomas Hardy’s letters to contemporary art by Pure Evil, owners Simon Keyte and Jennifer Newbury showcased the skills, tools and passion required to ensure that artwork and photographs are both complimented and protected by bespoke frames using a design-led approach.

A handmade, frame-themed mayoral chain was also presented to Peter Macfadyen by Simon and Jenny to mark the launch, adding to the town’s growing collection, which have all been donated by local businesses, schools and community groups.

Mount Art Services is now open Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm and private consultations can be booked by appointment.
