From the volcano’s edge to the UK high street, Great Taste Supreme Champion gets listed in Boots

Mount Mayon’s Ecuadorian Cacao Pili Nuts, which were awarded the top honour of Great Taste Supreme Champion in 2018, are now widely available across the UK thanks to a new listing with Boots. Having secured the most coveted stamp of approval from the world’s largest and most revered food and drink awards, the Philippines-based pili nut pioneer and its sales and marketing company, The Passionate Food Company, is now supplying one of the UK’s biggest health and beauty retailers, both in store and online, with three varieties of its sustainably sourced pili nuts.

Gluten free, vegan and free from GMOs, these Vitamin E and Omega-rich pili nuts are wild harvested from the volcanic soil surrounding Mount Mayon in the Philippines, using a sustainable and environmentally friendly process that dates back thousands of years. The pili nuts are pre-sprouted in purified mountain water before undergoing a 17-step SloDry™ process to retain all the flavour and nutrients. Whether dusted with Ecuadorian Cacao, Kyoto Matcha or Himalayan Pink Salt, these creamy textured nuts are naturally high in fibre, protein and magnesium, bringing a healthy, super-satiating and convenient snack to the UK market.
