A front row seat to watch your garden grow

Plankbridge

With spring in full swing and borders bursting with new colours, shades and fragrances, the latest brochure from Dorset-based master hutmaker, Plankbridge, showcases some of the innovative ways that shepherd’s huts are being used to bring people closer to their gardens.

From home offices and studios, to boltholes and spare bedrooms, the brochure is a celebration of Victorian tradition and craftsmanship, illustrating how a once humble hut on wheels has been reimagined for so many modern uses. Lovingly compiled, with a beautiful collection of images and words, the brochure offers inspiring ways to enhance the garden with a shepherd’s hut and enjoy it to its full throughout the year.

Whether nestled under trees, framed by flower borders or positioned within meadows and fields, each Plankbridge shepherd’s hut complements its natural surroundings by remaining faithful to the spirit of the Victorian craftsmen who designed these iconic structures. The timeless 12’ by 6’6” footprint with a corrugated iron exterior has blossomed into everything from a cost-effective home extension to a peaceful garden sanctuary, offering a space to work, sleep, retreat or entertain in the garden all year round.

A standard Plankbridge Classic Shepherd’s Hut, complete with painted windows and door (optional upgrade to English oak), a solid French oak floor and a Farrow & Ball painted interior, starts at £18,025 including VAT and measures 12', 14' or 16' long. Bespoke designs can be quoted for.

Plankbridge Master Hutmakers will be on Tradestand AR723 at RHS Chelsea Flower Show from Monday 23 – Saturday 28 May 2016.
