Dorset-based Castle Gardens has the best selection of and quality Christmas trees, the finest array of house and hardy plants and the greatest Christmas displays in the whole of the UK according to the Garden Centre Association, which has just announced the garden centre as the winner of its annual Christmas Competition.

Up against garden centres in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, judges were wowed by the Christmas displays at Castle Gardens, which allow customers to wander through Aladdin’s cave, the I’m a Celebrity jungle and Santa’s grotto. This is the fifth time in seven years that Castle Gardens has taken the title in the garden centre category.

Louise Burks, managing director of The Gardens Group, explains;

“We’re delighted to have won the national competition again. The Christmas displays are a team effort and everyone gets involved to make sure they look their absolute best. It is a great way to end 2014 and we hope to make it six times and counting next year.”

Neville Stein, head judge for the Garden Centre Association, adds;

“This is one of the most creative, exciting and inspiring Christmas displays I have ever seen. There really is something for everyone with a wide range of stock, innovative products and ideas, which could easily be implemented by customers at home. To top it all off the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and extremely friendly, a first-rate garden centre, one of my favourites for sure.”
